Comprising of Josh White, Matt Lowe on production and featuring Jeff Crake on vocals, Hybrid Minds represent a new musical force with their melodic, soulful Drum and Bass already making waves. A synergy between influences including trip-hop, acoustic, soul and RnB, Hybrid Minds draw on a myriad of influences to produce the smooth sound they are now known for. Although an innovative force in Liquid Drum and Bass, Josh and Matt are no strangers to Bass music. Matt originally produced under the name Sensa focusing on the heavier side of Drum & Bass.

However, after drifting towards the more melodic side of Drum and Bass, Josh and Matt decided to use their talent to make some smoother collaborations. After only a few joint efforts, the duo immediately shot to the forefront of the Liquid scene, with household names such as Marcus Intalex, DJ Hype, Netsky, S.P.Y, Marky, John B, and Camo & Krooked all playing tracks from the newly formed production team. Their method of bouncing ideas off each other in the studio yielded immediate results with one of their first tracks ‘The Place’, becoming one of the biggest Liquid tracks of 2011, even racking up over 350,000 views on the UKF YouTube channel. Combining hard drums, delicate vocals and enchanting melodies, ‘The Place’ features all the elements that now make up Hybrid Minds’ distinctive, soulful sound. After the unprecedented success of ‘The Place’, Sensa and Haste made the permanent jump to Liquid, to the delight of millions of Drum and Bass fans and began to look for a permanent vocalist. That search ended in the discovery of Grimm, a vocalist and drum and bass producer from Canada, thus Hybrid Minds was formed.

Since then, this fresh new three piece has gone from strength to strength, with their smooth, melodic brand of Liquid gaining them releases on some of the most respected labels on the scene. After huge hits including the stunning Lost EP on Audioporn which received over half a million views on UKF, the follow up Heartfelt EP on Austrian label Mainframe, a remix for Jakwob’s ‘Blinding’ and a release on Allsorts, Hybrid Minds have become synonymous with the best Liquid DnB – in only two years.
