CYBERFUNK / SYMMETRY / CRITICAL
REPRESENTED BY CLIVE BROE
Talent speaks volumes within the world of drum & bass. In a scene where your music does the talking, Xtrah’s is a voice demanding of your attention. The true embodiment of a low end theorist, his sub shaking bass weight and precise ear for beats has played a hugely integral part in Xtrah building a catalogue of releases on some of D&B’s biggest labels while amassing numerous fans and peers in the process. Another representative from the talent pool emerging out of south west London, there’s no doubt Xtrah has made an indelible impression on the scene since his introduction in 2011. From his opening salvo on the legendary Subtitles imprint: ‘Hubble’ and ‘Arise’ gave everyone a taste of Xtrah’s stylish production. Kasra’s Critical Music also took notice, as did Symmetry Recordings boss Break, releasing the track Cyrax as well as getting him to remix ‘Something New’ on The Other Side LP. Since then Xtrah has amassed an impressive string of releases under his belt. These include his Lost Time EP on Symmetry and Ram Records (The Base) which was also featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 6 and also a single on Goldie’s seminal Metalheadz label. 2015 see’s Xtrah add another string to his bow with the launch of his own record label, Cyberfunk. With his own vehicle to release his own music, plus that of his fellow peers and future up-and-comers, expect to hear more about Cyberfunk in the forthcoming. With endorsement and support from some of drum & bass’s biggest and best producers and DJ’s, it’s clear Xtrah is a name and a talent you’d be foolish to ignore.
